Global Challenges Forum opens at RANEPA
The International Global Challenges Forum has opened at the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) for senior students; the discussions are being held in English.
The participants are discuss social and economic processes taking place in the modern world, as well as politics and business. Experts tell students about different points of view on various events.
On the first day of the forum, Italian professors, Giovanni Savino from RANEPA and Vincenzo Ligorio from the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, spoke in front of the participants. Their presentation was devoted to Russia 1985-2015: A Journey through the Recent Past.
The speakers reviewed important events that occurred in Russia from 1985 to 2015 and led not only to the transformation of the government system, but also of the entire Russian society. The participants tried, together with the professors, to consider and identify the causes and consequences of the crises that have occurred in Russia over the last 30 years.
The session was organized in the format of debates. Senior students ща RANEPA had a chance to rationalize and defend their views on controversial issues. All the participants received certificates, and a 5% discount on tuition at the RANEPA School of Public Policy (SPP) as a bonus.
The second RANEPA Global Challenges Forum will continue on March 24, April 7 and April 21.
