Graduation ceremony for graduates of RANEPA's SPP's four International Graduate Programs took place
On July 19th the graduation ceremony for graduates of RANEPA's SPP's four International Graduate Programs took place. Vice-rector of the Academy, Maxim Nazarov and the International Educational Programs’ Dean of the Faculty, Margarita Perepelitsa handed out the diplomas.
In his welcoming speech, Maxim Nazarov congratulated the graduates with the completion of the graduate program and wished them professional success and a bright eventful life. "We are proud of our graduates," he said "and the academy, in turn, is doing everything so that you, the graduates, will be proud of it as one of the best schools in the country!"
The ceremony was conducted by one of the students' favorite teachers, the Director of Project Management, Dr. Mitali Mittra.
The top graduates of the graduate program, those who finished with honors, were given special attention this evening. Each of them was awarded statuettes like those in the "Oscars", as well as honorary diplomas. During the ceremony, the directors noted the best qualities of each of the graduates and recollected the brightest moments of the two-year learning period.
An Italian graduate, Irina Osipova, thanked the academy for the international aspect of the education, the excellent facilities and the opportunities that were given throughout her studies.
A student from India and an entrepreneur, Gaurav Khosla, in two years had not only opened a business in Russia, but also managed to learn Russian. It was in Russian that he gave thanks to teachers and classmates.
At the end the celebration graduates, teachers and guests watched as 150 balloons were released into the sky.
The academy's International Graduate Program was opened in 2010 on the initiative of Rector Vladimir Mau. In September of this year will be the fifth anniversary of the International Graduate Program. During this time, more than 350 students have completed the program. About 40% are foreigners, representatives from more than 25 countries. Among the graduate students were graduates from Harvard, Stanford, Sorbonne University, MGIMO, Bauman Moscow State Technical Institute, St. Petersburg State University and others.
