Preston McAfee about price formation and Microsoft strategy
On July 13, Preston McAfee, chief economist at Microsoft, held a webinar with RANEPA Summer Campus participants where he shared some secrets of effective price formation. During the lecture Preston McAfee told students about basic principles of price formation policy, through the examples of Microsoft products.
The lecturer underlined that there are no unambiguous correct answers when it comes to the questions of price formation. The task of the company’s Marketing Department is a thorough study of the product target audience, its position in the market and choosing the most effective strategy.
