RANEPA selects moderators for 2018 International Summer Campus
This year, six moderators will facilitate the work of the 2018 RANEPA Summer Campus. The project continues to develop its international component, which is why representatives of six different countries – Spain, Bulgaria, India, Kyrgyzstan, Nigeria and Singapore – were chosen as moderators.
One of them will be Sara Perez, a participant of the last Summer Campus of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration. A student at the University of Valencia (Spain), Perez was chosen by the organizers for her high organizational skills shown during the defending of 2017 Summer Campus projects.
A professional in the field of digital marketing and social media, Etien Yanev from Bulgaria has already tried moderating at the Summer Campus in 2016. During his career, the Global Head of Social Media Strategy at Unify used to head the marketing department at OK SuperTrans, to work as host on NEXT TV and PR expert at Active Group and Amaze Events.
President of the Indian Student Parliament in Andhra Pradesh Obadya Rai Shanguri has a wide experience of volunteering and working with young people. Last year, he was a moderator at the Summer Campus and will reassume this role in 2018. He has been repeatedly invited by various student associations and organizations, world conferences and universities in Europe, North America, Asia and Africa to inspire, guide and lead seminars.
Kyrgyz expert Asylbek Abdikarimov, a business consultant for the ENACTUS team at the Osh State University (Kyrgyzstan), will also be a moderator at the RANEPA Summer Campus. In 2016, he was a participant of the Campus, and has been promoted to moderator now. Previously, he worked in Svetofor.kg as head of the Osh regional division. Mr. Abdikarimov helped increase the company's gross sales by improving supply chain management and implementing a new marketing strategy. He also gained experience in logistics while working for Pharmacy 5+, where he was head of sales and logistics. Together with his team, he implemented the first loyalty program in the pharmaceuticals retail trade in Kyrgyzstan.
Aliyu Khalid from Nigeria, a student at the Kazan Aviation Institute, has a lot of volunteer experience, including as a moderator of 2017 RANEPA Summer Campus. He took part in many events, from lectures, forums, seminars, conferences to competitions in science and technology and the humanities. His analytical interest in history, foreign languages and other cultures helps him understand the different behavioral styles of people from different cultures.
The sixth moderator selected for the 2018 Campus is management specialist and research analyst in Advanced Market Research (AMR) Rachel Karen from Singapore. Karen has six years of experience in project management. She has also worked in organization of events, marketing and public relations, as well as strategic planning.
The International Summer Campus of the Presidential Academy will be held from July 15 to 26, 2018 in Tatarstan. The Summer Campus is a unique annual international educational project for young people, involving lectures and interactive sessions with leading Russian and foreign academics, government officials and world-class business leaders.
The project was initiated by RANEPA and the Government of Tatarstan, with a mission to create an environment for talented young people to communicate, and to promote the development of a new generation of intellectual elite.
