RANEPA student receives United Ambassadors Model Conference award in Geneva
On May 29, Maria Babikhina, a student of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA), received a special certificate for active participation in the United Ambassadors Model United Nations Conference in Geneva (UA-MUNC), "The Road to the Sustainable Global Development in Light of Social, Environmental and Security-Related Challenges in the Modern World," held at Palais des Nations (Geneva, Switzerland).
She took part in the conference as part of the annual International Organizations educational program, a joint project of RANEPA Institute of Law and National Security (ILNS) and the European Public Law Organization (EPLO).
Maria demonstrated excellent negotiation skills over the two-day debates. The secretary of her committee especially noted the student’s competent speech, her ability to take into account the opponent's opinion and desire to reach agreement. The certificate of recognition was awarded to Maria Babikhina for her valuable contribution and active participation in the negotiation process at the conference as part of the Model UN closing ceremony.
The ILNS group’s work at the Model UN was also highly appreciated; they were awarded a certificate of recognition of the UN Model.
