RANEPA Students visit European Court of Human Rights and the Council of Europe
Students of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) have attended a course of lectures as part of the European Court of Human Rights program. The classes were organized at the headquarters of the Council of Europe and the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) in Strasbourg (France).
The program is being implemented as part of cooperation between RAEPA Institute of Law and National Security (ILNS) and the European Public Law Organization (EPLO). The internship program includes a 30-hour course of lectures in English from members of the Council of Europe administration, incumbent ECHR judges, leading international law teachers and human rights experts.
“We have managed to create, as confirmed by judges of the European Court of Justice, an absolutely unique program, unparalleled by other leading Russian universities that have been working in this field for a long time,” said Valery Smirnov, the group leader and Deputy Director of ILNS. “RANEPA will be offering the European Court of Human Rights program annually from now on, as a component of ILNS multistage international cooperation initiative.”
