Scientists of RANEPA awarded with the first place at Global Business Conference
During the International Global Business Conference RANEPA the associate professors of IBS Teimuraz Vashakmadze, Emil Martirosyan and also RANEPA Master degree program graduate Anastasia Sergeyeva are awarded with the first place for "The Best Research on Finance of 2015, according to GBC".
The scientists presented the article "A corporate allergy: symptoms and treatment methods" at the GBC conference in Croatia (Split) where it got the first place in section of finance.
The work represented the authors’ research results. Needless to say, the authors have been working on the issue of M&A (mergers and acquisitions) for three years. According to the experts, in modern conditions it is impossible to avoid the issue of business integrations like mergers and acquisitions. Today as a result of integrations up to 60–70% of arrangements show a negative tendency, and in its turn, it destroys business plans to achieve the expected synergy effect.
"Under "the corporate allergy" we understand the rejection of structures, – Emil Martirosyan comments. – The search of protective measures against this "disease" will lead business structures to a more effective integration management process in the field of mergers and acquisitions".
The authors’ article "A corporate allergy: symptoms and treatment methods" will be published in spring 2016 in the international scientific magazine ZIREB (Zagreb International Review of Economics and Business). The ZIREB magazine is indexed in EconLit, RePec and ISI Emerging Markets.
