SPP RANEPA is developing relations with China
SPP RANEPA director for Internationalization Dmitry Savkin visited prominent Beijing International Studies University (BISU) and conducted partnership and academic mobility negotiations. BISU is a top Chinese University that instructs future Chinese leaders in international studies, languages, foreign trade, international business and tourism. Thus Wang Yi, Chinese Minister of Foreign Affairs is a BISU alumni.
During his visit Dr.Savkin discussed the possibilities of cooperation, students’ academic mobility and dual degrees with BISU President Feng Pei. Those efforts aim to attract perspective BISU students to participate in the academic mobility with RANEPA and study masters’ courses at SPP . Bilateral political relations between Russia and China are getting stronger and tighter each year. The future master degree possibilities at RANEPA could give BISU graduates a chance to boost their careers in the future and vice versa.
After the meeting with President Feng, Dr. Savkin delivered a lecture about the pairing possibilities of Russian-led Eurasian Economic Union and Chinese “One Belt One Road” (OBOR) continental macro-strategy. BISU students and researchers discussed the infrastructural projects that could be implemented with investment from Asian International Infrastructure bank, increasing the capacity of Trans-Siberian Railway, attracting Chinese investors to Russian Priority development territories.
The newly established “One Belt One Road” research institute at BISU invites RANEPA’s professors and researchers to participate in joint research projects.
