Business Women Leaders Task Force meets in Buenos Aires
The first meeting of the G20 Business Women Leaders Task Force (BWLTF) in the G20 history under the Argentinian presidency in the fora was held in Casa Rosada, the seat of the Argentine government on 3 October 2018. This year the BWLTF is chaired by Clarisa Estol, Argentine Secretary for Investment Promotion.
Almost three months after beginning its official activities, the BWLTF has prepared recommendations to promote the economic empowerment of women from every country and every income level. The recommendations address issues such as the balance between family and work, the challenges arising from talent attraction and retention strategies, and gender equality as an issue involving both women and men. The recommendations will be presented to the G20 sherpas ahead of the G20 Leaders’ Summit in Buenos Aires on 30 November and 1 December 2018.
About the BWLTF
Created at the G20 Hamburg Summit in 2017, the BWLTF brings together business women from G20 member countries to promote the economic empowerment of women, a key component for sounder economies and sustainable development.
The BWLTF works in close collaboration with the engagement groups Women 20 (W20) and Business 20 (B20).
