Academy students took a tour of the Federation Council, where they had a unique opportunity to learn about the history of parliamentarism in Russia and the workings of the upper house of parliament. Students from Egypt, India, China, Cameroon, Serbia, Tajikistan, and other countries participated in the visit.
During the tour, the participants learned about the key stages in the development of parliamentarism in Russia. They were also introduced to the functions and powers of the Federation Council, as well as its role in the country's legislative process. The students were particularly interested in how the Russian model of parliamentarism compares with the systems of other countries.
The students met with Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Konstantin Kosachev and Deputy Chairwoman of the International Affairs Committee Natalia Nikonorova. During the meeting, they discussed current issues in international politics and the importance of interstate cooperation. Kosachev noted that the exchange of experience and knowledge between countries is an important aspect of developing effective governance practices.
At the end of the event, the participants expressed their gratitude to the organizers for the opportunity to gain new knowledge and impressions, and emphasized the importance of such meetings for developing their professional skills and understanding of international politics.
