New partner: Academy of the state service under the President of Turkmenistan

The Presidential Academy has signed a cooperation agreement with the Civil Service Academy under the President of Turkmenistan. The document was signed within the framework of the scientific conference and exhibition “Healthcare, Education, and Sports in the Era of Renaissance of the New Epoch of the Powerful State” held in Ashgabat.

The parties agreed on the implementation of educational programs for additional professional education of civil servants and the personnel reserve of Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation, improving the level of professional training of teaching staff, and on joint research.

The signing of the agreement with the Civil Service Academy under the President of Turkmenistan is a special event for the Academy. This is a continuation of the development of our bilateral partnership relations. We hope that we will be able to start implementing specific projects as soon as possible: civil servants of Turkmenistan will be able to study in joint educational programs. We are open and ready for any formats of interaction,

– Natalya Shafinskaya, Head of the Department of International Cooperation and Development, emphasized.

The scientific conference, held simultaneously with the exhibition, was devoted to health issues, the development of the digital economy, the role of science and innovative technologies in education. The event was attended by representatives of more than 70 universities from 14 countries, including 20 universities from Russia.

Vice-Rector of the Presidential Academy Andrey Margolin, in his speech “New Approaches to the Development of Professional Competencies of Managerial Personnel”, paid special attention to the analysis of the processes of forming strategic thinking to achieve sustainable development goals, the importance of trust between the state, business and civil society for the comprehensive solution of complex economic, social and environmental issues.

Taking into account modern trends in socio-economic development, such groups of managerial competencies as values and ethics, strategic thinking, efficiency of managerial and business communications, optimal resource management and improving the quality of work in a digital environment and with digital products are becoming particularly relevant,

The delegation of the Presidential Academy also visited the Joint Turkmen-Russian Secondary School named after A.S. Pushkin, which teaches Russian. The school is headed by Irina Kuminova, a graduate of the Master of Public Administration program for heads of the Higher School of Economics of the Presidential Academy. The school was established in 2002 on the basis of an intergovernmental agreement between Russia and Turkmenistan.

The purpose of our visit was to develop cooperation with key partners from Turkmenistan, including the Civil Service Academy and the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Administration. In the near future, it is planned to launch joint educational programs and scientific research,

More than 120 students from Turkmenistan study at the Presidential Academy, and the most popular programs are in the majors of Management, State and Municipal Administration, and Linguistics.
