The Presidential Academy has signed a cooperation agreement with one of China's oldest public universities, the Shandong University of Technology and Economics. The partnership paves the way for the creation of a joint master's program in regional governance, as well as academic mobility programs (both short- and long-term), collaborative research initiatives, and the publication of monographs on Sino–Russian bilateral cooperation.
"I am confident that this agreement marks the beginning of a productive partnership, one that will support the successful implementation of our planned projects and strengthen academic ties between our institutions," said Presidential Academy President Alexey Komissarov.
For his part, Mr. Tao Hu, President of the Shandong University of Technology and Economics, explained as follows: "Shandong University successfully blends rich academic traditions with innovative approaches to education and science. Our partnership with the Presidential Academy is a valuable opportunity to broaden the horizons of both our students and faculty, strengthen international ties, and embark on ambitious joint projects—all of which will bring mutual benefits and lay the foundation for long-term, fruitful cooperation."
The Presidential Academy currently hosts 318 students from the People's Republic of China. The institution has signed over 30 cooperation agreements with Chinese universities and commercial organizations. Among its partners are the Beijing Administrative Institute, Shanghai University of Political Science and Law, the China Executive Leadership Academy Pudong, and Shanghai International Studies University. The Academy's key partner is the preeminent institution of political education in China: Central Party School of the Communist Party of China. A formal agreement with this school has been in place since 2013.
