Presidential Academy: Applications Increase by 50%

The Presidential Academy has taken stock of the admission campaign for the budgeted places for bachelor's and specialist's degree programs. In fact, the Academy has received 391,400 applications for competition-based groups, which is 50% more than in 2024, while the number of applicants has increased by 21% up to 74,219 people.

The wrapped up admission campaign for budget-funded education demonstrated that the Presidential Academy received a record number of applications for competitive groups – 391,400 (+50% vs. 2024). The most popular educational programs are: Business Management, Foreign Policy and Public Administration, Domestic Policy and Leadership, Public Administration of Sustainable Development, and Effective Public Administration.

The competition for budgeted places in Moscow was 17.5 applicants per place, whereas for some programs it reached 85.7 applicants per place. The toughest competition was recorded for the programs in: Financial Management, Investment Management, and ESG Project Management.

The number of applying awardees and Olympiad winners increased by 23% compared to last year as 433 applicants were enrolled without entrance examinations.

327 applicants were admitted to budget-funded places under a separate quota, these including SMO participants, veterans of military operations and their children. 194 applicants were enrolled in budgeted places under a special quota, and 138 applicants were admitted under the target-specific quota.

The number of applicants choosing to submit documents through the University Online Super Service has also increased as 76.5% of applications were submitted through the Unified State Services Portal (Gosuslugi) (vs. 56% in 2024).
