On September 2, the new 2024/25 academic year started at the Presidential Academy. Well-known politicians and businessmen came to congratulate the students, teachers and staff. Many of them once studied at the Academy, and some still teach at their alma mater today.
“Our Academy has broken records for the second year in a row: in terms of the number of applications submitted to higher education programs, we have again surpassed all other universities in the country,” Academy Rector Alexey Komissarov opened the holiday.
According to the results of the 2024 admissions campaign, the Academy became the most popular university among applicants - more than 63 thousand people submitted applications. The competition in Moscow was 26.4 people per place. The average Unified State Exam score was 96.2, compared to 93.09 in 2023.
You have an excellent career ahead - in the civil service, in business. If you are thinking about business, Sber is open and always waiting for you. But you don’t have to stick to one trajectory: you can work for the state, for business, and then come back. Both scenarios are good and potentially interesting!” – added Sberbank Senior Vice President Ruslan Vesterovsky.
The celebration continued in the institutes of the Academy. Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Inna Svyatenko came to congratulate IPACS (Institute of Public Administration and Civil Service) students and teachers. She told how entering the master's program at the Presidential Academy determined her path to the legislative branch of government, and then addressed today's students: “You have chosen the right path! At the Academy you have every opportunity to receive not only a good fundamental education, but also interesting practice. So, I have a project “One Day of a Senator”, which allows the guys to understand whether they want to work in the executive or legislative branch. I think that assessing your strengths and capabilities by experiencing your future job while still studying is wonderful. Be sure to participate in all the projects that the Academy offers you!”
Deputy head of the United Russia faction in the State Duma, Alexander Borisov, presented three students of the Presidential Academy - participants of the SVO, who entered the first year with a certificate of appreciation. The awards were received by students of the “Effective Public Administration” program Ivan Baykov, holder of the medal “For Courage” Ruslan Colombet and holder of two Orders of Courage, the Order of General Shaimuratov and the Suvorov Medal Ramil Mustafin.
