On December 3, rector of the Presidential Academy Alexey Komissarov visited the Republic of Uzbekistan. During the visit cooperation agreements were signed with the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade and the Higher School of Business and Entrepreneurship under the Cabinet of Ministers. The parties agreed to train ministry employees, implement a dual master’s and MBA degree program, and conduct joint educational, scientific and cultural events.
Since 2006 the Presidential Academy has been cooperating with departments and educational organizations of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the field of training, conducting scientific research and expert consultations, exchange of teachers and students, and scientific supervision of graduate students.
Among the partners of the Academy in Uzbekistan: Agency for Civil Service Development under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Academy of Public Administration, Republican Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment, Higher School of Business and Entrepreneurship under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek, Samarkand State University named after Sharof Rashidov and etc.
During the visit, the rector of the Presidential Academy Alexey Komissarov signed a cooperation agreement with the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kurbatov. According to this document, starting from 2025, about 150 department employees will be trained at the Academy. The parties also plan to hold joint scientific and cultural events, develop and implement educational programs.
«Since 2015, the Presidential Academy has the status of the Basic Organization of the CIS Member States for the training of management personnel. This gives the Academy additional opportunities to implement programs for students of the Commonwealth countries in the field of public administration. We see growing interest in studying at the Presidential Academy abroad. And we are confident that our educational programs will be in demand in Uzbekistan, and our international cooperation will be productive for both sides,» noted Alexey Komissarov.
An agreement was signed with the Higher School of Business and Entrepreneurship under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the implementation of a dual master’s and MBA degree program in «Corporate Governance and Strategic Business Development.»
During the meeting, the parties also discussed the development of a joint bachelor’s program «Public-Private Partnership», holding an event in 2025 dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, the implementation of postgraduate programs and scientific supervision.
