Every year, a large number of foreign students enroll at the Presidential Academy. For many of them, Russian is not their native language.

For this purpose, the Center for the Preparation of Foreign Students and Adaptation of Educational Programs was established at the Presidential Academy. The Center’s instructors have extensive experience working with international audiences. Students acquire the level of knowledge and skills required for Russian graduates of the Academy. Students can not only learn Russian but also become acquainted with Russian culture and traditions

«Preparation of Foreign Citizens and Stateless Persons for Professional Educational Programs in Russian» is a supplementary general educational and developmental program for students of all ages.

Duration of study:

• October 13, 2025 - September 7, 2026
• October 20, 2025 - September 14, 2026
• November 3, 2025 - September 28, 2026
• November 17, 2025 - October 12, 2026

Program includes: 2,466 academic hours (including independent study)

Subjects: Russian for Foreigners, Mathematics, Social Science, History

Documents required for application:

• copy of educational qualification (if applicable)
• notarized translation of educational qualification into Russian
• 3x4 photo
• copy of foreign citizen's identity document (passport must be valid for at least 18 months on the date of entry into the Russian Federation)
• notarized translation of foreign citizen's identity document into Russian

A paid contract (scanned copy of the signed contract + bank transfer confirmation) is required for enrollment.

*Russian student visas are valid until the end of the study period.

Expenses

Tuition: 232,000 rubles. Online course materials required for successful completion of the program are an additional fee of 55,000 rubles.

Medical insurance: 14,000 rubles/year. The medical examination option costs RUB 20,000 per year. (In accordance with Federal Law №. 274-Federal Law of July 1, 2021, "On Amendments to the Federal Law 'On the Legal Status of Foreign Citizens' in the Russian Federation" and the Federal Law "On State Fingerprint Registration in the Russian Federation," all foreigners are required to undergo fingerprinting and a medical examination.)
