3rd International Competition “Innovative Development Strategies”
Innovative Development Strategies is a competition of young strategists’ research projects aimed at promoting and developing strategic planning methodology, strategic thinking and strategist skills through the involvement of university and high school students. The competition is organized by the Center for Strategic Studies of Moscow’s Lomonosov State University and the North-West Institute of Management, a branch of RANEPA, with support from Shanghai University, China.
High-school students (grades 8-11), undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate university students, as well as young teachers and researchers are eligible to take part in the competition.
The participants can develop their projects at any academic institution in the Russian Federation including general education schools, vocational schools, universities, additional education programs, or research organizations. The participant can have a supervisor (one or more) for the project; the supervisor must be involved in teaching and/or research activities.
The paper should describe an original research project; it should include an annotation and a clearly and correctly formulated relevance statement, a purpose statement, the specification of the problems, object, subject and methodology of research, as well as the significance of the research results for theory and practice. The participants are expected to demonstrate their ability to work with relevant sources on the subject, as well as to formulate innovative strategic proposals reflecting their personal contribution to the competition.
The participants are invited to develop projects on strategic planning in the economy, transport, industry, agribusiness, information technology, sociology, culture, nature conservation, education, sports, medicine, or tourism.
To participate, please submit an application on the North-West Institute of Management website in the period from September 1 to November 1, 2019, with your paper attached as one file (the recommended length is 5-7 pages).
