Leadership Initiative: Mercy Corps Internship in Uganda
The Department for International Development announces an opportunity to participate in internships from Mercy Corps, a leading global organization that provides humanitarian support to communities in need, organizations and nations. The company's mission is to alleviate misery, poverty and oppression, helping people create a safe and fair society.
Location: Karamoja, Uganda.
Duration: April to October 2019 (at least 3 months). Work schedule: 9 till 17, 5/2.
Compensation: $500 a month
Internship objectives: the intern will have a unique opportunity to expand their inner potential and become part of an energetic and enterprising team of more than 150 employees. The program participant will also get an insight into Mercy Corps’ unique approach to building up team potential.
Assignments will include planning and implementation of trainings, as well as mentoring participants of Apolou Leadership Initiative.
- Bachelor's degree (master's degree an advantage) in International Development, Management or HR;
- Organizational skills;
- Competent written and oral English;
- Sociability, enthusiasm and creativity;
- Ability to work autonomously with limited access to resources (electricity and the internet);
Accommodation: staying in a common guest house in Kotido town, Uganda.
