Registration for first International hackathon SDGhack 2019
Applications to participate in the International SDG Hackathon 2019 for prototyping projects and social businesses for attaining one or several United Nations sustainable development goals (SDGs) are accepted until May 20.
The hackathon is organized by RANEPA Institute of Business Studies (IBS Moscow) as part of the UN Initiative for Responsible Management Education (UN PRME) and supported by WorldBank. Student teams from leading universities in Russia and the world – members of PRME (which includes more than 700 universities around the world) – are invited to participate in the hackathon.
SDGhack 2019 will become a platform for the exchange of ideas between students from various programs, educational institutions and countries. It aims to ensure cross-cultural integration of future elites in various countries in an open competition and to bring together the best solutions from future leaders from around the world.
The event will be held in English and include four stages:
Stage 1 (online): before May 20. The participants are expected to record and upload a video describing the idea/concept of their business or initiative. The five-minute video should contain all the key ideas making the essence of the proposal clear to the experts and present the team members.
Stage 2: May 20 - June 1. The jury selects the best initiatives/projects and invites the respective teams to present their projects in Moscow. The projects will be evaluated on the following criteria: creativity, feasibility, efficiency.
Stage 3: June 1 – 4. Project development. Teams work with experts online.
Stage 4: July 4 – 5. The teams will take part in workshops from experts, will meet with their mentors and present the final projects to the jury.
