Advisor to the President of the Italian-Russian Chamber of Commerce speaks at RANEPA
On November 25, Stefano Maggi, Chief Marketing Officer and Member of Management Board at Mikro Kapital Investment Company and Advisor to the President of the Italian-Russian Chamber of Commerce, met with students of the English-speaking bachelor's program Global Governance and Leadership (GGL). The lecture was organized as part of the Political and Social Leaders Workshop.
Mr. Maggi spoke about the next few years’ development outlook for Italian-Russian economic relations and cooperation between Russian and Italian companies. The speaker discussed with the students the contribution the Italian-Russian Chamber of Commerce is making to the development of the international business environment.
For 55 years, the IRCC has been promoting economic, trade, technical, legal, research and cultural cooperation between Italy and Russia. Its activities are aimed at supporting and protecting the interests of Russian and Italian entrepreneurs. It organizes working meetings between representatives of the two countries’ political and economic communities to consider the needs of Italian business in Russia and Russian business in Italy.
Stefano Maggi explained how the chamber of commerce builds contacts with Italian and Russian business leaders and authorities, what events it holds in collaboration with both countries’ embassies and how government representatives such as Italy’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Italian Institute for Foreign Trade and cultural institutions participate in maintaining and developing bilateral diplomatic and economic relations between our countries.
The second year students of RANEPA Institute for Social Sciences (ISS) became particularly interested in Russian business development abroad. The expert talked to them about the specifics of doing business in Italy. His audience became actively involved in the discussion, asking him questions about the business culture and economic characteristics of the Italian regions. Mr. Maggi informed them of the opportunities that the Chamber of Commerce provides to Russian entrepreneurs by organizing international conferences and conventions, inviting representatives of large international companies and renowned business coaches to do workshops and training sessions, offering consultancy and legal services.
The GGL students interested in doing business in European countries found Stefano Maggi’s lecture very useful. At the end of the lecture, the expert shared his own experience in working with large Russian and Italian companies and gave the students a few valuable tips on how to build relationships with international business partners.
