Anastasia Pedanova, RANEPA student from Kazakhstan, aims to become a professional in public administration
Before enrolling with the Presidential Academy, Anastasia Pedanova began her studies at another university in Moscow. But she found she wanted a better education and broader opportunities, so she made a rather brave decision: she switched careers and went back to square one, starting over as a first year at RANEPA Institute of Public Administration and Civil Service (IPACS).
“I made the final choice in favor of the Presidential Academy after the Open Day I attended. I was interested in the Digital State program, and I came to meet with the teachers. I realized that RANEPA, firstly, offers unique subjects, and secondly, dedicated professors. Director of the Center for Experimental Educational Programs Yelena Lide helped me a lot by explaining the specifics of the program,” Anastasia Pedanova said.
She successfully passed her interview and joined the Department of State and Municipal Administration at IPACS. She notes that the program brings together the best teachers who are literally in love with their subjects.
The student says she likes everything related to math such as Linear Algebra and Mathematical Analysis; she also became interested in History – something she never found particularly fascinating before – thanks to her teacher Andrei Prokhorov, Associate Professor at the Department of Legal Support of the State and Municipal Service at IPACS.
Studying comes first for Anastasia, so sport and dancing had to be postponed. She carefully monitors student activities at the Academy and tries to get involved in them. Anastasia is confident that the education and extracurricular activities at RANEPA will provide her with a solid foundation for becoming a qualified professional in public administration in the future.
