Cambridge English language testing at RANEPA
The international English language testing center of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) has tested first year students using the Linguaskill program, as part of its cooperation with Cambridge University. This innovative and unique electronic methodology helps quickly and accurately define the student’s level of proficiency by combining the quality of the Cambridge English test with modern knowledge assessment technologies.
On August 31, 120 newly enrolled students of RANEPA Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences (FESS) sat for their Linguaskill testing. The test included reading, listening, writing and speaking skills and, additionally, language usage skills at all levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Thus, one comprehensive testing provided the most objective assessment of each student’s language abilities.
Each RANEPA FESS freshman received his or her first international English certificate on August 31.
