Cuban delegation visits the Presidential Academy
A delegation from the Embassy of Cuba, led by Director of the Policy Planning Department at the Cuban Foreign Ministry Marcos Rodriguez Costa has visited the Presidential Academy.
At a meeting with the RANEPA Vice-Rector, Director of the Institute for Finance and Sustainable Development (IFSD) Andrei Margolin and Vice-Rector Maxim Nazarov, the participants discussed important aspects of cooperation between the Presidential Academy and Cuba’s Higher School of State and Government Personnel (Escuela Superior de Cuadros del Estado y del Gobierno). A memorandum of cooperation between the two universities was signed earlier this year.
The Cuban side showed interest in training their current public administration personnel in conjunction with RANEPA. “We would like to make our training system more effective,” said Marcos Rodriguez Costa. They discussed the possibility of developing joint programs, as well as the upcoming visit of the Cuban University’s rector, Mercedes Delgado Fernandez, to RANEPA in early 2020.
The meeting was also attended by RANEPA Director for Development of International Education and Cooperation Larisa Taradina and head of the Monitoring and International Development Department RANEPA Department for International Development Maria Granovskaya.
