Dean of RANEPA’s Graduate School of Finance and Management Yelena Lobanova participates in forum at British Embassy
Representatives of the RANEPA’s Graduate School of Finance and Management (GSFM) participated in the forum “Opportunities for Corporate Finance in Modern Russia”, which was organized by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) with the support of the British Embassy and British Ambassador to Russia Dr. Laurie Bristow.
The event took place at the British Embassy in Moscow and included three discussions: “Education, Training and Improvement of Qualifications”, “Infrastructure Needs” and “Mergers and Acquisitions”.
RANEPA GSFM Dean and Doctor of Economics Professor Yelena Lobanova delivered a very interesting speech to the forum participants. She spoke about the roles and development of corporate finance in Russia, and also about the most pressing problems in this sphere and methods for resolving them. In particular, the professor explained why the lack of a financial balance at a corporation will lead to the risk of bankruptcy and how not receiving medium-sized loans slows companies’ growth and development. Also Professor Lobanova spoke about the characteristics of the training of modern financial directors at various levels: from a Bachelor’s degree to an MBA, about the practical application of the education and skills gained by graduates.
