Emil Muradyan: Mr. Summer Campus 2019
On the evening of July 15, 12 young men participating in the RANEPA International Summer Campus (one from each team) competed in the Mr. Summer Campus challenge. Each of them turned out to be best at something; Emil Muradyan, a student of RANEPA Institute of industry management (IIM), won the title.
The 12 participants competed in three rounds. The first one involved a prepared show; the second, a Q&A, and the third, weight-lifting. Summer Campus Director Natalya Demidova, President of the Preparing Global Leaders Foundation Sam Potolicchio, Director of RANEPA Center for Russian-Spanish Cooperation Olga Pirozhenko, Director of RANEPA Center for Youth Policy and Deputy Director of the Summer Campus Timur Bakhtiarov sat on the jury.
Emil Muradyan, representative of team No. 10, was the first to show a brilliant musical performance. Egor Gradoboev of team No. 2 did a stand-up. Gbeja Joseph Oluwamayowa from team No. 6 played the guitar beautifully. Partick Amaechi Onwuka of team No. 9 sang with the entire room cheering loudly. Another song by representative of team No. 1, Ezike Chidera, rocked the house. Alexander Vasetskiy from team No. 12 performed a dance complemented by poetry recital in English. Dmitry Lebedok of Team No. 8 also prepared an unusual performance – he not only danced, but also drew a portrait on stage. Idiare Daniel Ese of team No. 3 picked an unusual way of self-presentation, telling about himself in a special monologue.
Abdullahi Abdullahi Bawa of team No. 11 showed an excellent sense of humor in several small comedy sketches. On the same track, member of team No. 4 Daniel Sigal finished his humorous presentation with a motivational speech, which was warmly received by the entire audience. Benjamin Okoro of Team No. 7 sang and danced. The representative of team No. 5, Zuhair Abbas, closed the first round with a creative song video, and made a hit with singing Kalinka in Russian.
In the second round, the participants were asked to express and substantiate their opinions, answering individual questions. In the third and final round, they were to lift a 4-kilo weight and hold it with an outstretched arm for as long as possible. This challenge was won by Ezike Chidera.
At the end of all three rounds, Natalya Demidova named winners in 12 categories:

- Abdullahi Abdullahi Bawa – Mr. Top Speaker;
- Partick Amaechi Onwuka – Mr. Mystery;
- Egor Gradoboev – Mr. Sarcasm;
- Daniel Sigal – Mr. Smart;
- Zuhair Abbas – Mr. Creative;
- Gbeja Joseph Oluwamayowa – Mr. Cool;
- Ezike Chidera – Mr. Strongman.
The Audience Choice Award went to Dmitry Lebedok. The title Mr. Summer Campus 2019 was awarded to Emil Muradyan, a student of RANEPA Moscow campus. The participants and the audience were equally satisfied not only with the competition, but also with the entertainment program – a violin duet and a Russian Bogatyr show.
The International Summer Campus of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) is a unique annual educational project for best students of Russian and foreign universities. The Campus curriculum comprises lectures and interactive sessions with leading Russian and foreign academics, government employees and world-class business executives. RANEPA Rector Vladimir Mau, leading Russian and foreign experts, Russian and foreign business leaders, high-ranking officials and civil servants will traditionally speak at the Summer Campus.
