European Union opens the door to RANEPA professors
Employees of the Department of Legal Regulation of Economics and Finance of RANEPA Institute of Public Administration and Civil Service (IPACS) Yelena Chernikova and Tatyana Nikolayeva have visited the headquarters of EU international organizations in Strasbourg as part of an academic delegation.
The group members visited the Council of Europe where they studied the way its work is organized, and attended a lecture by Ivan Koedjikov,Counter-Terrorism Co-ordinator and Head of Action against Crime Department.
The Russian guests also paid a visit to the European Court of Human Rights, where they met with Judge of the European Court of Human Rights Dmitry Dedov. He spoke about the peculiarities of the administration of justice in the European Court, the approaches that are formed during the consideration of cases, and development trends in the principles of legal proceedings.
They also had a meeting with Vadim Pak, a department head at the Filtering Section of the European Court, who talked about the peculiarities of the lawyers’ work to assess the acceptability of applications filed with the court and the ECHR approaches to applying the European Convention on Human Rights.
The employees of the Academy also visited the Administrative Tribunal in Strasbourg, where they attended a court hearing on an administrative offense.
