Foreign experts will share their experience with RANEPA Summer Campus participants
RANEPA Professor Sam Potolicchio, independent director of Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC Neil Osborn, and Professor of International Economics at Pompeu Fabra University Josep Bertran have joined the speakers of the upcoming Summer Campus.
The Summer Campus of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) is a unique annual international educational project for young people, where leading Russian and foreign academics, government officials and worldclass business executives deliver special lectures and interactive sessions for participants.
Initiated by the Presidential Academy and the Government of Tatarstan, this educational platform provides unique conditions for talented young people to communicate, fostering a new generation of the country's intellectual elite.
This year, Academic Director of RANEPA Global Governance and Leadership Program, one of the best young professors in the United States, Sam Potolicchio, will visit the forum for the fifth time. During the last five years, he told the students about leadership in the 21st century, gave tips for successful public speaking and analyzed some speeches of US officials. Sam Potolicchio has degrees from Georgetown and Harvard universities. He is an Honored Professor and Head of the Department of Political and Public Communications at RANEPA School of Public Policy. Winner of numerous awards for teaching activities of Georgetown University, he has organized summer summits for students from 140 countries over his teaching career. In 2011, he was awarded the Patricia Cross Prize of the American Association of Colleges and Universities as one of the future leaders of American higher education. In 2012, he was the only political science teacher included in The Princeton Review’s list of best teachers in America.
Another one of the prominent Summer Campus experts will be Neil Osborn, Group Publisher and Managing Director of Euromoney. This is not his first time at this forum. Last year, he spoke about the trends on the capital market. He started his media career in 1972 as a reporter at the Daily Progress, Charlottesville, Virginia. He was appointed US editor of Euromoney in 1983, and moved to London to become editor of Euromoney at the end of 1985. From 1990 Mr. Osborn has been group publisher and managing director of Euromoney. He is a member of the board of directors of Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC. He is a graduate of Worcester College, Oxford University.
Director of the Managers Training Programs in Spain (MTPS SPAIN) Josep Bertrand is a traditional guest of the student forum. During his previous visits, he told the participants about effective ways of conflict resolution and global forecasting in economics. The professor has worked at Foment Formació for more than 15 years, where he was responsible for international cooperation projects. He graduated from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. For more than twenty years, he has been teaching international economics at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona.
