How does HR management work in digital transformation? Explanation provided by the Institute of Business Studies (IBS) of RANEPA

We continue to provide information about the unique programs of the Presidential Academy institutes. Today we are presenting the "International Business: HR management in digital transformation" Master's program provided by the Institute of Business Studies (IBS) of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration. The program focuses on leveraging technology trends, digital workforce management, Big Data and artificial intelligence. 




- What is unique about the “International Business: HR management in digital transformation”? 

- The “International Business: HR management in digital transformation" program meets the future requirements of the labor market, takes into account the needs of Russian and international businesses, as well as trains HR specialists of the future with unique competences, able to efficiently manage personnel now and in the future. 

Our program is a unique product both in its form and content. It focuses on leveraging technology trends, digital workforce management, Big Data and artificial intelligence. 

We will teach our students how to use new tools in HR that will save them from routine, bureaucracy and subjectivism, becoming a real breakthrough in the industry. In addition to professional competences we will work on the development of personal skills: leadership, creativity, ability to persuade and initiate change. 

Another important feature of the program is the fact that it is implemented by the only business school in Russia that has an AACSB accreditation, and a leader in Russia's business schools rating (according to the MBA.SU portal). 

Our program values include:

- What specific knowledge can one gain from the program? 

- An HR manager has many responsibilities. The most important thing is to create a personnel management system. In addition to the basic functions (staff formation, motivation, training and performance evaluation), it has new functions. These are project team building, corporate culture management, workspace management, employee emotional intelligence management, time management, stress management, workspace organization, etc. 

Selection of candidates is one of the important functions in human resource management. Everyone is used to traditional methods: resume analysis, interviews, tests, etc. But there is also a large arsenal of non-traditional methods. These are brainteaser interviews, astrology, chiromancy, graphology, physiognomy, socionics, extrasensory perception, numerology, phrenology, analysis of facial expressions and body language, psycho-semiotics, etc. In capable hands, these methods work wonders.  

In creating the program, we thought about the problems of today's HR managers and how can we help them. Experience has shown that 

HR needs to create an effective HR management system and interact with managers at different levels to implement it; 

Digitize key human resource processes; 

Operate with account for current trends in personnel management; 

Manage creative staff (someone has to come up with new ideas); 

Create a work environment for valued employees, and more. 

All of the above is what we teach students in our program. 




- What disciplines are taught in the program and who teaches the students? 

The instructors are successful HR managers and leading scientists in the field of organizational management, HR management, economics, psychology, artificial intelligence, communications, etc. Training is conducted in Russian and English with the use of advanced teaching technologies. 

The program includes disciplines such as: 

Modern personnel management technologies 

Innovation and digital transformation in HR 

Big Data analysis (Big Data)

- Where will graduates be able to apply their knowledge? 

We will train our students to work in the HR service of an organization, in a staffing and consulting agency, employment services, and in a private business. Please mind we will not be training HR professionals who perform document management and technical functions in HR. We will train top managers of organizations specializing in HR, HR business partners.  

   



- How does one enroll in the program? 

The prerequisites for applicants wishing to enroll in the Master's program "International Business: HR management in digital transformation" are: 

higher education (bachelor's or specialist degree), 

knowledge of English, UPPER INTERMEDIATE level. 

Entrance exams are in an online format this year; they include an English language test and a management case. Applicants can confirm the required level of foreign language proficiency by submitting a certificate of international examination to the Admissions Committee . 

Deadline for submission of documents is until August 14. The tuition fee on a contractual basis is RUR 413,000 per year. The tuition fee is paid every semester.
