Italian Ambassador Pasquale Terracciano speaks at RANEPA
The Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) has hosted a lecture by Pasquale Terracciano, Italy’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Russia, as part of the Global Governance and Leadership program.
The Ambassador spoke about his professional activities and many years of international experience, sharing the secrets of successful management of a diplomatic mission with RANEPA students.
The listeners discussed the role professional diplomats play in the modern world. Mr. Terracciano explained how relations are built between states and international organizations. He mentioned the significant influence of social networks that are changing the current system of international relations.
His Excellency Pasquale Terracciano graduated from the University of Naples Federico II. He has been in the diplomatic service for more than 40 years. Prior to his appointment to Moscow, he headed the Italian diplomatic mission in London.
The Ambassador's lecture was held as part of the Political Leaders special course for students of RANEPA’s English-language Global Governance and Leadership undergraduate program. This course gives students a unique opportunity to communicate with leading foreign and Russian politicians, representatives of government bodies, political analysts and other experts in politics and management.
Students of the Presidential Academy receive practical knowledge and experience. The course provides direct communication with leading public and political figures. This year, this course is organized by Associate Professor of the Department of International Management of RANEPA School of Public Policy, President of the Deaf-Blind Support Foundation ''Con-nection," PhD in Political Science Dmitry Polikanov.
