National report on innovation in Russia presented at Gaidar Forum
On January 13, experts discussed the results of the past year’s joint work of the Ministry of Economic Development, Open Government and RVK, in a session, National Report on Innovations in Russia: How to Awake the Sleeping Giants? as part of the Gaidar Forum 2017.
The National Report on Innovations in Russia is a document that contains a comprehensive model of the innovation cycle in the country.
As the debate began, the moderator – Deputy General Manager and Program Director at RVK Yevgeny Kuznetsov – cited the highlights of last year’s report, emphasizing the key mechanisms that could promote the launch of the innovation cycle, or more precisely, restart it.
The main feature of the Russian innovation cycle is active development of new technologies, start-ups and projects. Today, the intensive work of development institutions is generating a large number of high-quality products. They become further integrated into global companies, attract international investment and evolve as global products or their components. At the same time, Russian companies buy large integrated solutions from the West to include them in their own production chains, but fail to work effectively with domestic innovations.
