Participants of Hello Russia program visit RANEPA
On August 18, a group of 302 Russian-speaking students from other countries visited the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) as part of the Hello Russia program. The young people, accompanied by 48 adults, looked at the structure and activities at the Academy, its departments and student life. They also toured the RANEPA campuses.
RANEPA Vice-Rector Ivan Fedotov welcomed the group and introduced them to the life of the Academy. He said RANEPA has 53 branches in 11 time zones, noted the availability of a full cycle of training and added that the education is practice-oriented. He spoke about the numerous extracurricular sports classes and events at the Academy, the annual Gaidar Forum – one of the largest business forums in Russia, and talked about the 24 MBA programs (Master of Business Administration) and three DBA programs (Doctor of Business Administration) RANEPA offers.
Dr. Fedotov said students can take part in the Global Management Challenge, the world's largest championship in strategic management based on a complex computer business simulator (game model), which helps participants gain experience in managing a business. The simulator allows them to apply theoretical knowledge in practice and perfect their basic managerial and personal skills. Last year, RANEPA team won took first place in the Global Management Challenge.
