PepsiCo launches training course at Presidential Academy
PepsiCo has launched its training course at RANEPA. For the next four months, the company’s experts will teach at the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences (FESS); the course is open to all students at the Academy.
The long management and marketing course is being implements as part of the cooperation agreement signed between the Presidential Academy and PepsiCo at SPIEF-2019. Weekly classes will include lectures from the corporation’s practitioners, workshops and case studies.
The syllabus will cover HR Management, Talent Management, Corporate social responsibility, Brand Management, PR, Effective business communication, and Digital business development. By the end of the training, the participants will do a practical project in teams. After presenting their projects, they will receive PepsiCo certificates. The course gives RANEPA students a chance to show their skills and a career prospect in the corporation.
Natalya Khvan, HR vice president, and Albina Nash, Senior HR Director at PepsiCo Russia and BUCCA (Belarus, Ukraine, the Caucasus and Central Asia), were the first PepsiCo executives to meet with the students. In her remarks, Natalia Khvan spoke about the company’s history from its foundation in 1965, about PepsiCo’s presence in Russia (40 enterprises) and the main development trends of the world's largest food and beverage corporation with 22 brands in 200 countries.
Albina Nash introduced students to the company’s Talent management program (recruiting, retention, development, succession planning) and gave them two trainings to determine personality abilities. In September, PepsiCo begins a one-year program for young talents: working on real life business cases at corporate trainings, students will be able to develop their soft skills, and upon completion they will receive a chance for employment with the company.
PepsiCo employs about 19,000 people across Russia. RANEPA students can also make their professional careers with the corporation in Brand Management, Product Marketing, Retail Marketing, Event Management, Social Media Marketing, and Corporate Communications.
In addition to the training course, the collaboration between RANEPA and PepsiCo includes business projects. In 2018-2019, the company contracted six projects to FESS, which the students developed together with FESS partner universities from Italy and Germany. In the 2019-2020 academic year, PepsiCo contracted three more business projects to FESS, and those will certainly not be the last.
