Professors from leading foreign universities will speak at RANEPA Summer Campus
The leading professors from foreign universities – Georgetown, USA, and Barcelona, Spain – will speak at the eighth International Summer Campus of the Presidential Academy.
For the seventh time, Academic Director of RANEPA Global Governance and Leadership Program Sam Potolicchio will speak at RANEPA Summer Campus. Over the past years, he has told the Campus participants about charisma, leadership in the 21st century, the specifics of successful public speaking, and the importance of making complex decisions; he analyzed the speeches of some US officials, and also explained how to make public presentations effective and memorable. Sam Potolicchio has degrees from Georgetown and Harvard universities. He is an Honored Professor and Head of the Department of Political and Public Communications at RANEPA Institute of Social Sciences (ISS). He has organized summer summits for students from 140 countries over his teaching career. In 2011, he was awarded the Patricia Cross Prize of the American Association of Colleges and Universities as one of the future leaders of American higher education. In 2012, he was the only political science teacher included in The Princeton Review’s list of best teachers in America.
Another regular participant in the International Summer Campus is Dr. Josep Bertran, professor at RANEPA and Universitat Pompeu Fabra. Professor Bertran has taught many Summer Campus students how to use identification ideas and effectively resolve conflicts. The students learned about social capital, global forecasts in economics, and entrepreneurship in culture and entertainment. Josep Bertran graduated from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. He has worked at Foment Formació for more than 15 years, where he was responsible for international cooperation projects. For more than twenty years, he has been teaching international economics at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona.
The Summer Campus of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) is a unique annual educational project for best students of Russian and foreign universities. The Campus curriculum comprises lectures and interactive sessions with leading Russian and foreign academics, government employees and world-class business executives. RANEPA Rector Vladimir Mau, leading Russian and foreign experts, Russian and foreign business leaders, high-ranking officials and civil servants will traditionally speak at the Summer Campus.
