RANEPA branch student plays in the final of international tennis tournament

On October 27, Anastasia Gasanova, a student of the Stolypin Volga Institute of Management (RANEPA branch in Saratov), took second place in the ITF World Tennis Tour in Nanning, China.
After a series of severe battles, having defeated strong rivals from China, Australia, Russia, and Slovenia, the RANEPA student made it to the women’s singles final of the world series tournament to play against a participant from Liechtenstein.
“I will remember that week forever! It was the first time I won several matches in a row against top 200 players, and each match was a huge victory for me. China loves me, and I always play well here. I hope my next games will be as successful,” Anastasia Gasanova said.
Anastasia Gasanova is a fourth year student majoring in Customs at the Department of State and Municipal Administration. She is a member of Olympic Rackets Sports School and a winner of numerous ITF World Tennis Tour awards from Spain, Japan, China, India in the singles, doubles and teams categories.
The young woman also successfully plays in Russia: in 2019, she won the bronze medal in women's singles, the silver medal in mixed doubles with Anton Zaitsev, and the gold medal in doubles with Anastasia Frolova at the Russian tennis championship.
