RANEPA comes second in Forbes ranking of Russian universities
Russian Forbes editors have compiled a ranking of Russia's top schools by rating them on 10 parameters divided into three groups: the quality of education; the quality of graduates; and the Forbes factor.
The ranking of 100 universities from all across Russia was compiled based on data from performance monitoring on more than 600 higher education institutions. Forbes rated the schools on ten metrics grouped into three categories: the quality of education (a maximum of 50 points), the quality of graduates (a maximum of 30 points) and the Forbes factor. The latter incorporated the institution’s prestige and the proportion of entrepreneurs in the total number of graduates (a maximum of 20 points).
RANEPA ranked first in the quality of graduates section with 22.49 points. The school was rated 21.83 on the quality of education parameter, assigned the Forbes factor of 5.98. Its final score added up to 50.30 points making it second in the overall ranking, ahead of Moscow State University, MGIMO, Plekhanov RUE and a number of other famous Russian universities.
The Forbes ranking methodology takes into account not only the quality of education, but also statistical data on the employment of graduates, their relevance in the regions, and the number of entrepreneurs among them. In addition, Forbes studied the biographies of more than 1,600 representatives of the Russian elite - members of the Forbes list and their children, heads of private and state companies, officials and deputies.
