RANEPA, De'Longhi sign cooperation agreement
The Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration and one of the world's largest manufacturers of household appliances, De'Longhi, have concluded an agreement to cooperate on a series of business education projects. Rector Vladimir Mau and De'Longhi Russia CEO Mikhail Pokrovsky signed the document.
Under the agreement, the partners will establish the De'Longhi Business Management Department at RANEPA Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences (FESS) and will deliver joint degree programs and professional development courses, including for De'Longhi employees. The agreement also provides for the organization of student practicums at the company.
“Involving major partners of the Academy in the educational process is one of our priorities. We strive to ensure that each of our programs has multiple partners, future employers for final-year students and alumni. We are grateful to De'Longhi for their trust and for our fruitful cooperation, which will further expand, I hope,” stressed Alexander Chichin, Dean of FESS RANEPA.
The Academy has been successfully cooperating with De'Longhi for many years. Leading specialists from the company regularly conduct classes for FESS students on sales, marketing, supply chains, human resources and finance. Students also have the opportunity to apply their knowledge in practice and develop special projects commissioned by the company. Based on their results, the best students can be offered internships, and subsequently jobs at De'Longhi.
“It is important for De'Longhi to be involved in the education and professional development of specialists. We strive to help young professionals to unlock their creative abilities. That is why we highly appreciate our cooperation with the Presidential Academy, which enables us to deliver courses and launch business projects, as well as to directly participate in the educational process – students of the Russian-Italian double degree program do their pre-graduation practicums at De'Longhi. We also offer internships to RANEPA students as a priority, and several interns have later joined our team as employees,” Mikhail Pokrovsky added.
