RANEPA Graduate School of Corporate Management alumna Konstantin Parikozha successfully makes emergency landing of Boing 777 in Dominican Republic
The names of the pilots who masterly managed to land a burning Boing 777 in the Dominican Republic have become known to the media. The captain of the aircraft turned out to be RANEPA Graduate School of Corporate Management alumna Konstantin Parikozha, who lives in Podolsk (a town situated near Moscow) and the co-pilot was Dmitry Alexeev from Domodedovo district.
Parikozha has been working at Orenair for 6 years already and previously this brave captain operated the vehicles of S7 airlines and Transaero. He graduated from Ulyanovsk Higher Aviation School and RANEPA Presidential program 2014-2015 “Company Innovative Development: Project management”. Konstantin Parikozha`s thesis topic was “Orenair efficiency enhancement activities development by means of introduction of aircraft personnel innovative training methods” and Svetlana Sterkhova (PhD in Economics) was the thesis adviser.

The horrible accident took place on the night of Thursday, February 11. A Russian Boeing 777 of Orenairwith 346 passengers, en route from the Dominican Republic's Punta Cana to Moscow, returned to the departure airport due to an emergency.
The plane had already arrowed upward to 5000 m when one of its engines burst into flames. The captain decided to return. The pilots masterly managed to land the plane with only one engine functioning. There were no reports of injuries among 400 passengers and crew members.
Ivan Klayn Tomsk city mayor suggested nominating Konstantin Parikozha Tomsk Citizen of the Year.
