RANEPA GSCM expands cooperation with leading Swiss university
On March 20, a trilateral meeting was held between RANEPA Graduate School of Corporate Management (GSCM), Strategy Foundation (a Russian foundation that supports international economic and humanitarian programs) and the Federal Polytechnic School of Lausanne (EPFL, Switzerland) to discuss cooperation.
The Strategy Foundation cooperates with EPFL’s Executive Master Program “Innovative Governance of Large Urban Systems (IGLUS)” attended by an international audience of middle and senior managers of companies and government agencies working in construction, transport, urban planning, energy, and large infrastructure projects implementation. The program includes compulsory foreign modules which give the students an opportunity to study different countries’ experience in construction and infrastructure.
In June 2019, Strategy Foundation and RANEPA GSCM will for the first time organize such a module for the IGLUS program students on the Moscow campus of the Presidential Academy. The module will include lectures, seminars, visits to enterprises and infrastructure facilities, as well as getting to know the Academy, its teachers and students. GSCM Dean Sergei Kalendzhyan, Deputy Director of the EPFL IGLUS Program Umut Tuncer, President of Strategy Foundation Metso Igityan and Executive Director of Strategy Foundation Alexei Sorokin took part in the talks. The parties agreed to sign a tripartite Memorandum of Cooperation and discussed the details of the upcoming event.
“The first experience of doing an on-site module in Russia can be a successful start to the development of long-term cooperation between RANEPA and EPFL and lead to new joint programs,” commented Olga Gumilevskaya, head of the international projects and accreditation department at GSCM.
EPFL (École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne) is one of the most prestigious educational institutions in Europe. The university offers 13 undergraduate programs and 25 master's programs in mathematics, physics, computer science, biology, architecture and construction, ecology and social sciences.
