RANEPA officially begins cooperation with the EEC
The Cooperation Program for 2019-2020 has been launched at a meeting between RANEPA Rector Vladimir Mau and Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Tigran Sargsyan.
The parties discussed aspects of cooperation in research and education, the development of joint educational programs and projects. One of them is the Global Management Challenge international business strategy competition in the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union, organized by the Presidential Academy in Russia.
“Contacts with universities in the EAEU member states are important for the EEC. One of the Commission’s goals is to foster new personnel and shape the elites for the integration union,” Tigran Sargsyan said.
Stanislav Mogilevsky, Director of RANEPA Institute of Law and National Security (ILNS), pointed out that the ILNS Customs programs provides for the study of new customs legislation and takes into account the priority areas for the EAEU development.
An agreement has been reached on the joint implementation of a new dual degree bachelor program in Law of Global Integration with in-depth study of a foreign language (a language of the region), delivered by the Academy jointly with the European Public Law Organization. “We plan that the new program will be as practice-oriented as possible, so for us the possibility of attracting the EEC staff to the educational process is of paramount importance,” said Valery Smirnov, Deputy Director for International Relations at ILNS.
Following the meeting, Tigran Sargsyan and Vladimir Mau exchanged letters on the beginning of the Cooperation Program for 2019-2020. The Eurasian Economic Commission put RANEPA on the list of organizations that provide expert and analytical support to the Commission on the priority areas of the development of Eurasian integration.
Tigran Sargsyan delivered a lecture for RANEPA students, EAEU - a space of opportunities for young people: from training to shaping the Eurasian elite.
