RANEPA Rector Vladimir Mau meets with the President of Greece
A group of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) officials led by Rector Vladimir Mau has visited the Greece. They met with the President of Greece, Prokopius Pavlopoulos, Minister of Administrative Reform and E-Government Olga Gerovasili, Justice Minister Stavros Kontonis and Prefect of the Attica Region Rena Dourou.
The visit was organized as part of cooperation between RANEPA and the European Public Law Organization (EPLO). The Presidential Academy was represented by Rector Vladimir Mau, Director of the Institute of Law and National Security (ILNS) Stanislav Mogilevsky and ILNS Deputy Director, special representative of EPLO in Russia Valery Smirnov. The participants discussed cooperation options.
President Prokopius Pavlopoulos is also a Law Professor and Honorary Doctor of RANEPA. During the meeting with Rector Vladimir Mau, he expressed his condolences over the bomb attack on the St. Petersburg metro. Dr. Mau thanked the Greek President for his kind words addressed to the Russian people.
During the discussions, the participants looked at the prospects of the relationship between RANEPA and Greek universities and state organizations. “I support any undertakings in cooperation between the Academy and Greece and I am ready to provide all kinds of assistance,” Mr. Pavlopoulos said.
