RANEPA Student wins Event TALENTS 2019
Danila Rumyantsev, a freshman at RANEPA Institute of Industry Management (IIM), has won the Event TALENTS 2019 international contest of young professionals in the event industry.
The competition final was held as part of the Eurasian Event Forum (EFEA) and the Event LIVE Forum at the PetroCongress convention center. The finalists from Moscow, Ufa and St. Petersburg demonstrated their projects on Artificial Intelligence in the Event Industry: Parade of Ideas before an expert council.
The jury included Alexei Kalachev, Director of the National Convention Bureau Association; Darya Ostrovskaya, Director General of the R&C Market Research Company and Chairperson of the EFEA Organising Committee; MVK Director Irina Lyubina; and Director General of the ExpoEffect Exhibition Agency Nikolai Karasyov. Professor Marina Gunare, head of the Hotel and Catering Services, Tourism and Leisure Organization program at the Baltic International Academy (Latvia), chaired the Expert Council.
This year’s Event TALENTS winner was Danila Rumyantsev from RANEPA IIM, who proposed special technologies for use at the 47th convention of the Apimondia International Federation of Beekeepers' Associations. The jury praised the structural thinking and interesting ideas shown by the Presidential Academy student. The Expert Council underscored that all the finalists clearly demonstrated the feasibility of introducing their AI ideas in the events and showed specific examples of their effective use. All the way to the cherished victory, Danila Rumyantseva was supported by his academic advisor – Galina Dekhtyar, Professor of the Management and Service Department at RANEPA IIM.
As the winner of the competition for young professionals, Rumyantsev will have a chance to enroll with the Mini-MBA Professional educational program from the exclusive partner of the competition – City Business School – and to go to the Baltic International Academy International Summer School for the Management of the Tourism and Hotel business program with a tour package that includes a ferry ride to Stockholm. Danila Rumyantsev will also be able to complete a month-long internship at STEM Communication Agency.
