Relations between Russia and Italy discussed at RANEPA
Within their partnership, the School of Public Policy (SPP) of RANEPA and the University of Perugia (Italy) held a joint conference ‘Russian-Italian Encounters: Economics and Society in Evolution (XX-XXI centuries)’.
The conference was the first event after entering into the agreement on cooperation between the School of Public Policy and Management of SPP of the Presidential Academy and the Economic Faculty of the University of Perugia. The University of Perugia (UNIPG) is a prestigious state higher education institution, one of the largest and oldest universities in Italy.
A special guest of the conference was Teodora Danisi, First Secretary and Press Attache at the Embassy of Italy in Moscow. The diplomate expressed her gratitude to organizers and participants of the conference and emphasized the importance of bilateral cooperation in education and the need to share experience of representatives of higher educational institutions of our countries.
During the conference, teachers of English-language programs of RANEPA Ilya Neustadt, Giovanni Savino, Vincenzo Ligorio and Sergei Chumak presented their reports on economic, historical and social-and-cultural factors of development and strengthening of relations between Russia and Italy.
The University of Perugia was represented at the conference by Professors Luca Ferrucci, Andrea Runfolo and Simone Splendiani. They told about peculiarities of trade relations between the two countries and also about perspectives of cooperation in tourism and fashion industry.
‘We are very happy about the open and fruitful dialog with our partners! Development of cooperation with Italian higher educational institutions is one of priorities of the internationalization strategy of the School of Public Policy and Management of the Academy. We are actively working on the expansion of international cooperation of both educational and scientific activities. Organization of conferences, writing of scientific papers, preparation of case library and also mobility of students, joint modules and dual degree programs will be the major areas of our joint activities,’ Natalya Abramova, Director of the School of Public Policy and Management of SPP of RANEPA, noted.
