Romain Kreitel, France: I improved my English at RANEPA

Romain Kreitel, a third-year student of one of the leading business schools in France, EDHEC (Lille), spoke about studying at RANEPA.
Romain Kreitel is taking the first semester of the 2019/20 academic year at the Institute of Business Studies (IBS) of the Presidential Academy under a Russian-French University exchange program. As a schoolboy, Romain had spent a year in the capital of Ukraine, Kiev, where his father worked. It was then that he decided that he wanted to learn more about the countries of Eastern Europe, about their economies and languages. The RFU academic mobility program implemented by EDHEC and RANEPA brought him closer to his goal. The school’s AACSB international accreditation was the crucial factor that influenced his final decision.
“We have great classes in Financial Management and International Relations. We openly discuss various topics, and I learn a lot from these discussions. The program is being taught in English, which is very cool: I feel that I have significantly improved my English here. This is an important point,” the student said.
Along with English, the young man quickly learned the Cyrillic alphabet, which was not easy at first, and began to speak a little Russian. He says he had braced himself for linguistic difficulties, and that helped him adapt faster. But studying in Moscow is interesting, so he is going to take his next academic trip to Russia as well.
Romain Kreitel is now exploring Moscow and doing a lot of sports. He has made excellent international friends; together they have visited the Tretyakov Gallery and the Pushkin Museum. But Romain was the only one to run the Moscow Marathon; his friends cheered for him at the finish. He has just two more months left until the semester ends, but is fully confident that his time at RANEPA is only beginning.
