Sergei Myasoedov heads AACSB European Advisory Council
Vice-Rector of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA), Director of RANEPA Institute of Business Studies (IBS) Sergei Myasoedov has been elected chairman of the European Advisory Council of AACSB International, one of the largest and most respected associations of business schools. This is a truly historic event: for the first time, a Russian school representative has been chosen to chair the association.
The purpose of the European Advisory Council (EAC) is to advise the AACSB Board and staff on key issues and challenges related to European business education and AACSB's activities and engagement in the European context; to meet regularly with the European Affinity Group (EAG) to evaluate needs, issues, and opportunities to share with AACSB; to assist AACSB staff in identification and planning of AACSB programming, member services for European business schools; and to recommend candidates for AACSB governance roles.
Dr. Myasoedov joined the European Advisory Council (EAC) in 2015, the first time a representative of Russian business education was awarded this honor. The duration of his EAC membership is three years.
