Student from Pakistan: “I got enthusiastic about going to RANEPA”
Faryal Ali Khan, a foreign exchange student at RANEPA Institute of Business Studies (IBS) from the Pakistani city of Karachi, spoke about her favorite activities and plans for the future.
Faryal Ali Khan learned about the Presidential Academy from her friends who previously studied at RANEPA – this is how she got the idea to go to Moscow for a semester. In Karachi, she is a 4th year student at the Institute of Business Management.
A month and a half of the four months she is going to spend in the Russian capital have already given her a lot of impressions and knowledge. Faryal notes that she really likes her advertising classes taught by Assistant Professor Sergei Isayev. She says he makes his students think critically and share their opinions and thoughts. The students are always involved in class, and work interactively.
At RANEPA, she also learned how to communicate in an international team, an international community: “I am learning to live together with people from different countries. We all have different traditions and habits – like food habits, free time activities and much more. I have made one important conclusion: it is important to find common ground and to be able to communicate with different people with respect.”
The Pakistani student tries to make time for other activities alongside her studies. She plays sports at the Academy and goes out with friends in Moscow. She is also passionate about cooking: she makes healthy meals and explores new recipes and has recently signed up for a French cakes workshop. In the future, Faryal plans to start her own business: she dreams of applying the knowledge gained at the Academy and opening her own bakery in Pakistan.
