Summer Campus: The right way to make tea (VIDEO)

RANEPA Summer Campus is more than lectures on economics, digitalization, branding and things like that; it is also about expanding the participants’ horizons in rather unusual areas. On the evening of July 19, CEO of the Turquoise Tea group of companies Sergei Khorolsky and his associate, Viktoria Borisovets, led a tea-making workshop for students, Modern Russian Tea Time.

Sergei Khorolsky told the participants about his journey in the tea industry, as well as about the development prospects and new trends in tea culture in Russia. The founder of Turquoise Tea told the students about the history of tea, its types, and how it is brewed in different countries and cultures. Sergei Khorolsky and Viktoria Borisovets offered the students innovation-based tea and demonstrated new ways of tea brewing, including tea siphonization with the help of the “Khorolsky Samovar.” Most of all, the students liked the “Choko-tea” brewed with black tea leaves and ground cocoa beans; the taste of this drink really amazed everyone.

As Sergei Khorolsky noted, he tried to plant a seed of love for good tea in the hearts of the participants. The questions they asked were completely different, but most importantly – warm-hearted, the speaker stressed adding that his well-brewed tea has definitely played a role in that.
