The Х Gaidar Forum identified trends in the preparation of digital business leaders (VIDEO)
On January 17, the expert discussion “Digital talents: how to prepare digital business leaders” was held as part of the Gaidar Forum. The participants reviewed the modern means of developing the team and its activities, and also tried to answer the question of who are the digital leaders.
Igor Baranov, Vice-Rector of Sberbank Corporate University, Evgeny Plaksenkov, Lecturer of Skolkovo Moscow School of Management, Grigory Avetov, Rector of Synergy Business School, Mikhail Zhukov, HeadHunter Managing Director, Yulia Uzhakina, Director General of the Rosatom Academy, and Vasily Tretyakov, general director of the non-profit organization University of the National Technology Initiative 2035.
Discussion moderator Anna Morozova, Director of the Center for Corporate Programs at RANEPA, Academic Director of FinTech Master’s degree program, suggested discussing approaches to the training of digital personnel.
Yevgeny Plaksenkov, Lecturer of Skolkovo Moscow School of Management, noted that the priority task is to understand yourself, determine who you are and choose the right field for yourself. He spoke about the skills of the future, such as creativity, emotional literacy, being cross-cultural, and others.
Julia Uzhakina, Director General of the Academy of Rosatom, pointed out the importance of trust in the training of digital personnel. She noted that people in Russia have a low level of trust. The expert pointed out that such an element as trust cannot be avoided. “The root of the collaborative teamwork is trust", said the Director General of the Rosatom Academy.
Grigory Avetov, Rector of Synergy Business School, in his speech put forward the thesis that the current education system is dying. In the way of evidence the expert said that only 27% of people with higher education work in their specialty. He clarified that in the process of obtaining higher education people study disciplines that cannot be put into practice. Grigory Avetov also explained the importance of creating an image of educational institutions and promoting them.
At the end of the discussion, the moderator invited the speakers to express their views on who the digital leader is. “A digital leader is a person who knows how to do what a robot cannot do,” says Mikhail Zhukov, HeadHunter Managing Director. Igor Baranov, Vice Rector of the Sberbank Corporate University, said: “A digital leader is a person who can lead a mixed team and sees the full range of technologies that can be used.” Grigory Avetov, though, has a different opinion. He is convinced that the digital leader is the company with the highest capitalization, which invests in what will become a monopoly in 20-30 years.
