The Ninth International RANEPA Summer Campus Starts in Kazan
Tatarstan hosted the grand opening of the International Summer Campus of the Presidential Academy, which will be held at the Sviyaga Hills Sports and Recreation Complex. The event will bring together over 180 students from 16 countries and 17 regions of Russia, and will be traditionally held in English.
The topic of the Ninth Campus is “New Realities of Human and Personal Interaction”. The opening ceremony of the Summer Campus was attended by Rector of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration Vladimir Mau, Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Aleksey Pesoshin, Vice Rector of the Presidential Academy and Director of AIRR Ivan Fedotov, General Director of Coca-Cola HBC Russia Aleksandar Ruzhevich and others. The Summer Campus is organized by the Presidential Academy, the Republic of Tatarstan, and the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia.
“We appreciate our cooperation with the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration. It has already become a good tradition to hold the International RANEPA Summer Campus in Tatarstan. The Campus is an important venue for students to acquire unique knowledge and experience. The Campus participants are enterprising and active young people, and I wish them creative and fruitful work and success in implementing their projects,” Aleksey Pesoshin said.
The Campus participants can attend lectures, seminars, workshops, webinars and trainings conducted by representatives of state authorities, scientists and business persons. The key topics for discussion include global changes in the post-COVID world, the transformation of public administration, global trends in the economy, education and business, and social interactions. The practical part of the activities will be dedicated to promoting project team-building skills (including distributed teams), management abilities and developing the personal qualities needed in this era of constant change. The Campus participants will be grouped into 10 teams, and each team will spend two weeks working on its own project, before presenting it to the experts.
“The Summer Campus presents a wealth of opportunities for young and ambitious people who have passed a rigorous selection process and came here seeking new knowledge, skills and experiences,” Vladimir Mau says. “Guided by experienced mentors, they will form teams and develop digital educational projects in English, dedicated to highly relevant topics, putting into practice all their knowledge, teamwork skills and leadership qualities. This is a unique chance to gain experience of working in an international team, achieving goals and producing results in limited time.”
All Summer Campus activities will be held in compliance with the requirements of Rospotrebnadzor and regional authorities. A mandatory rule for participants is a negative result of two PCR tests. In addition, participants and visitors to the Campus are encouraged to wear
masks throughout the event. The organizers will regularly remind the participants of the need to follow all safety requirements.
