Vietnamese delegation explores publishing business in Russia
The Presidential Academy has held the first ten-day seminar on Publishing Industry in Russia for a group of executives from Vietnam.
The visitors came to explore the specifics of the publishing business in the Russian Federation. The program included lectures on new technologies, modern skills of journalists and editors, and the current situation in the book publishing market.
At the final session, head of the international relations department of the Expert Center at RANEPA Institute of Industry Management (IIM) Maria Ivanova summarized the trends and challenges of the modern publishing industry, as well as the specifics of publishing in Russia.
During their time in Moscow, the participants visited the TASS news agency, the Prosveshcheniye publishing house, Argumenty i Fakty publishing house, Russian State Library, and Alpina Digital publishing house as part of the program.
They said they would be applying the experience of their Russian colleagues at their publishing companies, and thanked RANEPA IIM for organizing the project.
The head of the delegation, head of the finance and accounting department at the Su That (Truth) National Political Publishing House Duong Nhat Huy, noted he was greatly impressed by his Russian colleagues’ experience in introducing new digital products and diversifying the business in response to the challenges facing modern print media. He added that the Russian experience in this area will also benefit the other members of the delegation, senior executives from the two largest state publishing houses in Vietnam.
Natalya Demidova, Deputy Director of RANEPA IIM, awarded certificates to the participants of the seminar and wished them professional success. “Organizing a seminar on publishing is a new experience for IIM. We hope that such industry seminars will become a regular practice,” she added.
