Vietnamese delegation to study publishing business in Russia
On October 14, a ten-day seminar for a group of Vietnamese officials kicked off at the Presidential Academy. The program, Publishing Industry in Russia, was specifically developed by RANEPA Institute of Industry Management (IIM).
The participants from Vietnam will explore the specifics of publishing in the Russian Federation. The seminar includes lectures on new technologies, modern skills of journalists and editors, and the current situation in the book publishing market.
The visitors will also take part in a number of field events. They have already visited the TASS news agency and will also visit the Russian State Library, the Prosveshcheniye Publishing House and other publishers.
As many as 21 people are attending the seminar, including senior officials from the two largest state publishing houses of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
RANEPA Vice-Rector, Director of the Institute for Finance and Sustainable Development (IFSD) Andrei Margolin welcomed the participants and said that the Academy had actually delivered its first training program for senior officials from Vietnam about 20 years ago. He spoke about the Presidential Academy, development of public administration and international cooperation.
Andrei Margolin emphasized that relations with our Vietnamese colleagues have always been based on trust, and proposed discussing even the most sensitive issues. He answered the questions from his colleagues about the RANEPA Lyceum, the Leaders of Russia contest and foreign students. “I would like to thank you all for your visit on behalf of the management of the Academy. I hope you will enjoy your time at RANEPA and in Moscow,” he added.
The seminar, Publishing Industry in Russia, is held by the Academy for the first time; it was prepared by the Institute of Industry Management (IIM) specifically for the delegation from Vietnam.
